On July 12, 2019, activist Cathy Jende Stevens organized a “Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps” protest in The Woodlands. Held in solidarity with vigils scheduled across the country, the protest took a stand against detention camps and the human rights abuses of ICE. More than 100 residents of The Woodlands and surrounding communities came out to the vigil. Here are photos from the well-received and -attended event.
